Pantera was from Dallas. They would come play the square in downtown Shreveport almost every weekend.
They created the power groove in metal and took the metal world by storm for nearly ten years. Sadly they disbanded.
Then “Dimebag”, the guitarist was shot and killed while playing a show in front of his drumming brother Vinnie. The musical world lost a legend and then another as Vinnie past away a few years later.
Pantera is doing a celebration tour with Zakk Wyldeon guitar and Charlie Benante on drums. Would be interesting to go see this in Dallas.
Cowboys From Hell is my favorite Pantera song followed closely by Walk.
