Ok, ladies and gents. I have a question or two or three.
These questions are in reference to the Understanding Men collaboration between Charity and I.
She messaged me and asked me why no one is commenting or liking our posts.
I think I know why but I would like your cooperation…
Is it because of the topic?
Is it because you are scared to actually like and comment because you do not want other bloggers to see it?
Is it because a woman is asking the questions?
Is it because you are scared to put yourself out there in a vulnerable and honest conversation?
Here Charity is wanting to know some answers as to why men act the way that we do at times when it comes to a porn issue and it’s like no one cares that she wants to know.
Now, I am used to a lot of views on a post with little likes or comments because of the topics in which I write about at times.
These are not flippant questions she is asking by the way. These are serious questions. There are a few that will have me praying hard for the right answers because one will be about the physically abusive side of a porn addict…I’m not that kind of guy so yeah there will be a lot of prayer time for that one.
But porn is a very prevalent in our society. It’s a topic that needs to be addressed, talked about and discussed openly and honestly! Or there will never be change.
Woman are silently suffering in their marriages due to their husband’s porn usage.
The only way to change that is through bearing the truth upon the lies.
From a statistical standpoint the more likes and comments a post gets the higher up in the ranks it goes on Googles radar. It goes higher up in the search engine for that topic.
And I for one would prefer to have positive and Godly advice that there is freedom from porn at the top rather than the lies of go ahead and watch porn since it’s healthy and hurts no one.
Because the truth is this….it’s NOT healthy and it DOES hurt people! A lot more people than the user realizes. And it is sin!
Hopefully some of you will jump into the comment section and answer those questions for me.
Or this one will go down in the books as another post with a lot of views with hardly any likes and no comments. Prove me wrong please.
You are right, Stu. People are definitely uncomfortable talking about this topic. It’s an intense topic for sure, but important to shed light on as you said. Looking at those filthy images is definitely sinful and unhealthy, and it is a major problem in our society among unbelievers and believers. Praying the Lord sets men free from that horrible addiction, and I pray people in that “industry” get saved and stop making those sick videos. Blessings, brother!

Thank you for asking; I hadn’t thought to comment about why I wasn’t responding.
This is a difficult topic for me, too hard for me to enter into. There are a lot of reasons. One of them is that I cannot tolerate evil. I know you’re not posting evil, but the topic, for me, is evil, and the Spirit within me tells me to stay away.
It’s the same with the Holocaust. I know I can’t stick my head in the sand, that I should learn about and from it. But the evil is too much for me. Same for violence on TV / in the news. I have to turn it off.
There it is in a nutshell.

Thank you Kathy. Always follow the Spirit’s prompting.
One aspect I had not thought of. Staying away from a topic which can viewed as evil.

Thanks for understanding, Stu. Please understand, I don’t think your posts are evil. I want to put that out there. But I can’t take it into my spirit.

This reminds me of one of my earlier comments/questions. Why is the Church avoiding this issue also?
If Christians would wake up and see what’s going on instead of avoiding the issue altogether, we could make a difference in these people’s lives. Sometimes it’s a matter of life and death spiritually. Be Blessed!

J, I truly believe the church has the view of sex from behind the pulpit all wrong. And if pastors and laymen/laywomen would stop with the…oh never mind. There is too much wrong to even begin to go into on a comment thread.

Thank you for taking head-on something that most Christians are either in denial of (at worst) or assume this is someone else’s calling to deal with (at best). Personally, I have had to struggle for decades, and each week still needs new grace and new resolve. But ‘I can see the light that is coming for the heart that holds on’, and I’m nothing but amazed at God’s patience with me.

Thank you so much for your comment KSD. I agree that a lot of Christians are in denial. I hope that can change. God is patient indeed!
