Fly With The Angels Meat Loaf

Today was so sad for me. I open my phone and my notification states Meat Loaf dies at the age of 74.

My heart sank😭 I also cried.

I immediately turned on Spotify and played Meat Loaf’s music all day.

His music has been a staple in my life as far back as I can remember. At one point in my musical journey I had everything Meat Loaf ever made music wise…cassette, CD, VHS, DVD and one signed copy of Bat Out Of Hell II from seeing him live In Dallas.

There have been many bands I have never seen live but I was bound and determined to not let Meat Loaf be one of them.

Dallas Texas with Cheap Trick opening for him. That night was special. I got his autograph while on the tour bus😮

Probably the second best concert ever…right behind Stryper, TNT & Loudness.

Outside venue. Vocally he was spot on. Reminds me of Michael Sweet in that regard. Not many vocalists can sound just as good live and they do on a CD. But Meat Loaf can.

Sadly a year later someone broke into my car at night stealing my CD player along with about 50 CDs including the autographed ones from Meat Loaf, Stryper, Holy Soldier, Bride, Rez Band & Guardian😭😭😭

He sang with such passion. I promise you he could sing The 3 Little Pigs and folks would pay to watch him do it.

His real name of course was Marvin Aday but changed it to Michael Aday and then to Meat Loaf. I knew his cousin Mark. Mark was married to one of my employees 😎

His album Bat Out Of Hell was released in 1977 and is one of the highest selling albums of all time.

His music just touches me in a way that most can not. Each song is a story.

When I’m down in the dumps there are two bands I listen to and that is Meat Loaf & Stryper. (Go figure on Stryper, right?)

But I just wanted to share a few songs that are my favorites from Meat Loaf and they are in no particular order.

I Would Do Anything For Love…

I’d Lie For You (And That’s The Truth)…

Bat Out Of Hell…

Dead Ringer For Love…

Piece Of The Action…

Razors Edge…

Man, can you imagine the choir in Heaven now? Wow!

Yes, Meat Loaf was a Christian 👊
