Sad Days

You know when you got my age of 53 mortality sort of gets put into prospective.

Here I am getting ready to head to Shreveport to attend a benefit for one of my high school friends. He has cancer and even with chemo he is going to pass from this earth to be with the father soon. Just last week he lost his mom 😥

Another friend has prostate cancer.

Another friend is fighting breast cancer.

Angie has her health issues.

The list just goes on.

It just brings home the fact that we are not as invincible as we once thought…when we were kids.

Cancer sucks!

Angie and I will be attending the benefit to say goodbye to our dear friend of 40 years and show our support. It will be hard but we both feel that it something that we must do.

His name is Randy. If you all wouldn’t mind praying for him.

Jill is the one fighting breast cancer.

Please share your faith with everyone near you. As we never know the appointed time for anyone. Give them hope and eternity with our Father

  1. I will be praying for Randy and Jill and Angie too. Praying for Vivian and her husband Mark too. You are so right, brother. We must shine Jesus everywhere we go. Time is short. I could have died the other day. So glad I went to the ER. May God strengthen our hearts with His love and encouragement. Someday we will be with Him forever where there is no more mourning, crying, or pain. God bless you and your family.

  2. Sad days, indeed; we are in the boat with you, as many of our friends and family are sick and/or died of cancer. Another friend died of a stroke last night.
God gives us these gifts for a reason; may we realize, accept, and use His gifts wisely.

  3. Since death is an absolute for everyone, this post reminds me of how important it is to tell everyone about Jesus and salvation. I am so sorry for all that you are going through, but I know that you are holding on to your faith.

  4. Sorry you are going through the fire, Stu. It’s hard losing friends and family. We just heard about our first cousin dying early this morning. It seems death is all around. It’s my prayer we all stay with our lamps full of oil. We don’t know when it will be our time. Prayers for the individuals you asked prayer for. 🙏🏼
