Stu’s World LXXIII

Brandon chose to stay the weekend with me Saturday. It is “not” my weekend so I was not prepared as far as food and such. Plus this was my weekend to do what little Christmas shopping I could get done.

He wanted a Gingerbread house to build. I told him it better not be like last year’s and wait until like Valentine’s day to finish it.

Well…here it is…

The white cream holder kept messing up so it got everywhere. He got mad and gave up. He just started eating the candy instead😂

Totally awesome coloring in some of the newest batch of blue pine we got in at work😮

I had to have a talk with one of my bosses this week about one of the new guys. I had had enough of his lazy tactics.

I can’t have lazy whiny men working when we have so many out with covid plus D is still out til after the first of the year easily.

It’s winter. Work should be slowing down but not this year. It’s still a constant flow of customer and truck orders.

Last year we just hung out talking for hours. Now if I get to sit still for 5 uninterrupted minutes I’m ecstatic!

Still I come to the house and go pretty much straight to sleep. It’s like everyone has lost their marbles with D out and everything feels like it’s falling on me. I’m more mentally exhausted than physically exhausted but tired nonetheless.

Brandon will be getting painting supplies for Christmas. Erin just wants gift cards. Which is a blessing in disguise since I can’t drive to stores and get her the things she really wants.

That’s it for this week. Hopefully I will be able to talk with Angie next week. I really miss her😥

  1. Love that wood! Is it from bug trees? In the Black Hills of SD, we had Mountain pine beetles, killing groves and groves of Ponderosa Pines. After they’d had their way with the trees, the wood turned blue. Lumber mills were having heydays. At least the wood was still good for construction and art.

Is that a heart I see in the top pic of the wood? Looks like it. 🙂
Prayers things will slow down, and you get some much needed physical and mental rest. 🙏🏼
