What a wacked out week this has been!
First trying to get the kitten to drink milk from a bowl didn’t work. So I had to dip my finger in the bowl and let her lick it off my finger for hours before cozing her to the bowl. Only to watch her stick her head to far in and come up sneezing and then licking the milk off her nose.
She is just too freaking cute😸
Then along comes Hurricane weather.
Work has been crazy anyway so why not add a hurricane into the mix.
I don’t know how strong the winds were but this is the aftermath…
It all started simple enough. Get to work it’s raining and the wind is blowing. Nothing out of the ordinary. So we start cleaning and organizing getting ready for inventory.
The rain gets a little hard and the wind picks up, whipping through the area in which Big D and I working. That is when my head got attacked by a flying door that got ripped off it’s hinges.
After getting hit in the head we have a truck filled with sakrete which is bags of concrete mix. Great, it can’t get wet! So off D and I go to unload it it the freaking rain and wind. Oh joy… not
But after that truck comes another truck filled with lumber. Luckily this one is tarped so it can not get wet. So we ask the driver to not untarp his truck and just wait out the rain. That didn’t happen as the wind decided to rip the tarps off his truck. Totally crazy!!
So off D and I go to unload said truck. By the time we got finished I weighed 20 pounds more from rain soaked clothes.
Walls come flying off the building so we leave for the day.
Friday comes and since I’m the only one not afraid of heights I get chosen to reattach the roof, put tarps down. And then spent the rest of the day putting walls back up.
And during all this weather, my parents, kids and Angie and her family are safe😊 Sadly my parents and Angie have been without electricity for a few days though.
It has been a crazy few days. And I know it will get crazier as people get ready to repair the damage. We will be so freaking busy!
Thank you all for your prayers and support.
I will leave you with this…
For those in the prayer group. I will be sending out updates soon!
