Riots, Looters, And Unnecessary Violence

First off let me say this post will tick some folks off. I can’t help it. This is not an easy topic to dance around. So I will not dance. I will walk head long into this knowing that…

Someone will get mad, offended, hurt, curse me out, call me racist or ignorant, or they just remain silent and not follow my blog anymore. That’s fine. We are all grown men and women. I can accept the fact that some will not like my personal opinions.

So with that said…

Let me start off by saying that NO, I do not agree with police officers overstepping boundaries/brutality or abusive behavior. And NO not all cops are bad cops. Out of all the cops out there may be 2 percent are bad.

And NO, I do not like the fact that ANY person dies in their custody no matter the reason.

Should these officers be held accountable for their actions? I believe they should be.

It was a sad day for this country when George Floyd passed away.

But it should be sad day for this country anytime ANYONE of ANY color of the spectrum of God’s sovereignty in shades of skin tone dies unwantingly.

Now let me say the above part was written weeks ago. A lot more has happened in that time span. Buildings have been broken into, communities devasted, lives lost (including black lives), people beat the hell up for no other reason than their skin tone, people’s cars have been attacked while children…CHILDREN!!!…were in the car, and buildings burned to the ground that had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with anything. It’s a building for crying out loud! It can’t talk and sure as hell can not offend you.

And now we have everyone getting their wittle feelings hurt over named brand items and cartoon characters because they feel it’s racist. Really?!?

Grow the freak UP!!!

Aunt Jemima syrup is not racist. And the black community should actually be proud of the brand and Nancy Green, the woman who was their spokesperson…

The world knew her as “Aunt Jemima,” but her given name was Nancy Green and she was a true American success story. Born a slave in 1834 Montgomery County, KY, she became a wealthy superstar in the advertising world, as its first living trademark.

Green was 56-yrs old when she was selected as spokesperson for a new ready-mixed, self-rising pancake flour and made her debut in 1893 at a fair and exposition in Chicago. She demonstrated the pancake mix and served thousands of pancakes… and became an immediate star. She was a wonderful storyteller, her personality was warm and appealing, and her showmanship was exceptional. Her exhibition booth drew so many people that special security personnel were assigned to keep the crowds moving.

Nancy Green was signed to a lifetime contract, traveled on promotional tours all over the country, and was extremely well paid. Her financial freedom and stature as a national spokesperson enabled her to become a leading advocate against poverty and a fighter for equal rights.

She maintained her job until her death in 1923, at age 89.

This was a remarkable woman… and she has just been removed due to political correctness.

Uncle Ben’s rice is not racist. It actually celebrating a black farmer from Texas. The image itself is not of the farmer however. It is a picture of a black restaurant owner.

How is that racist?

Because this generation does not even know their history.

You do not see the white folks freaking out over Cracker Jack’s for heaven’s sake or even Cracker Barrel.

And now Shaun King, a racist activist wants Jesus everywhere to be removed because it shows white supremacy! Dude, Jesus was a Jew. He was not Caucasian. He was dark skinned. You can not get upset over someone else’s version of Jesus. If you want Jesus to be of a darker skin tone, then paint your own pictures.

Let’s be completely honest here! There are bad people of every color on the spectrum! There are horrible people, there are good people and there are great people.

I do not stereotype someone based on the color of their skin. I base it off of their actions.

You act like a dumbass. I don’t care what color of skin you have… you’re a dumbass. And there are plenty of those running around wearing every color!

Rioting and violence will not change people minds. It’s just going to piss people off. And the ones remaining silent will be the ones you do not want to mess with, because when they have had enough of the BS well that’s it game over. War in the streets. With both sides loosing out😢

I am one of those silent people. I observe, get facts and make a decision. But IF, in my little town of Rayville riots started and my kids were in danger I will not care about…color, black, white or yellow…you attempt to hurt my kids and 40 some odd years of being peaceful and silent will end.

I will not use a gun. Mine are for hunting. I do not own a pistol.

And why attack all police? They are not the bad guys. Black and white cops are being killed just because they are cops doing their jobs.

Cops risk their lives daily…knowing damn well that today could be their last time seeing their wife and kids…to keep the very ones that are trying to kill them safe.

For my friends of a darker skin tone…if your dad or mom was a police officer, would you want a target on their head just because they were called to that profession? I think not!

The black lives matter movement is not about black lives at all. It’s a political ploy. End of discussion.

Though I will add that if black lives mattered was really about black lives then the black community would not be the highest in abortions. That’s where the protests should really take place.

I really could go on and on about the whole black versus white thing as it has been going on since before I was a thought in my dad’s mind. But I won’t…I’ll stop because I don’t really want to hurt anyone’s feelings.

I could discuss the welfare system but I’m not. It’s abused is all I will say.

I could discuss the looting. But why? Everyone knows stealing has nothing to with the fact that a person died, regardless of skin tone! It just shows their true heart…wayward and stoney.

The latest I saw were people stealing flat screen TV’s off a moving train. Hundreds of people. That’s called a felony! And to me everyone videoed with a facial view should get arrested regardless of color.

I could even discuss the fact that more whites are killed by cops than blacks. But even with proof of the stats from the F.B.I. many of my black friends do not believe me. Sad that they are blinded by the media’s hate agenda 😢

Is there racism in the work place?

Yes, sadly there is. If a black male or female, for that matter, is hired at the same time as a white person usually the black person will be brought in at a lower pay scale. Sad, but true.

That’s why all my employees made the same amount. If you are qualified for the job and get said job the pay scale should be same regardless of color.

I will say it needs to end! Racism needs to end! The rioting needs to end! The senseless beatings of both colors needs to end! Hate needs to end!

It breaks my heart so see such division in the world.

But, sadly unless both sides can understand that ALL lives matter there will always be tension.

I saw a video the other day of a young man holding an All Lives Matter sign in a white part of town. He asked folks as they walked by what they thought. Some said they agreed that black lives matter but they all said all lives mattered.

He carried that same sign to a black part of town. Things did not go so well. He was attacked by a few as they shouted get that shit out of here only black lives matter😭

I guy stopped and said bro you need to take that sign and leave. This is not a safe thing to be doing. He agreed that all lives mattered but was worried for the young man holding the sign He kept saying he just need to go.

All part of a social test

I will say this and get mad if you want to.

All this new talk about whites having to pay back blacks for what was done to slaves.

Well I wasn’t there. I wasn’t born. My dad wasn’t born. My grandfather wasn’t either. I do not owe anything except to love them as God commanded me to. That’s it.

Just like I don’t owe the Irish anything because were still being brought over in steel cages after black slavery ended.

I have a lot of black friends on and off social media. I love them dearly.

I also have Hispanic, Jewish, Oriental, and Hindu friends. I love them just as I do my black friends.

We are ALL created by God!

Sorry this has bounced all over the spectrum, but there is a lot involved in this.

I didn’t touch on even half of the issues at hand.

But what we ALL need to be doing is praying! Praying for all color to realize that the other matters! Pray for their hearts to change.

  1. You have said all that I have been thinking. Black Lives Matter is a political movement trying to destroy the USA. We have to stand and not let them continue to destroy. All lives matter to God…He doesn’t see color, He sees righteousness through Christ.

  2. It appears that you deleted my appropriate but dissenting posts. If that is the case, then too bad for you, Stu. You aren’t man enough to have a disagreeing voice on your perfectly curated website? Your attitude is that of the pharisees and scribes in the parable of the Good Samaritan. Just poke your fingers in your ears and close your eyes. You don’t need to see anything that doesn’t match up with your worldview, do you? Just cut out that stuff. While you were at it, it also looks like you’ve been ignoring your glaring faults too.

    1. I didn’t delete them. I have my blog set to where I have to approve new commenters.

Sorry, if I hurt your feeling by not reading your comments as soon as you posted.

  3. I completely disagree with your views. I think that coming at this with the moral view that looting and destruction of property is destroying the USA, is not Godly. Yes, that is against God, as we can see in the old testament law. However, could we expect to place that law above the law against looting and destruction of an entire race of people over a 400 year period in this land we call the “home of the free”?

God didn’t say love your neighbor, unless they destroy your property. Let me just say, since you’ve brought God’s law into this, let’s boil down what God has taught us. “Love the lord your God with all of your heart soul and strength, and love you neighbor as yourself.” Additionally, it was stated in Micah, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Respect of the people God has made in His image is at the forefront of His law. Since African American’s don’t get the respect he demands for them, things are in a time of extreme upheaval. When we don’t obey God, we reap what we sow. We have sown disrespect and hatred to them–what else could you expect to happen? God will not be mocked! Ignoring what has caused this is a mockery.

Please watch the following videos if you don’t know where to look for real examples of understanding the lives of African Americans. I think if you can understand these, you might begin having a different viewpoint on how to approach people who have been treated their whole lives like they are lesser than human by white people who have continued to have the position of power throughout American society.

    1. Jamie, thanks for stopping by and commenting. I am sorry that you disagree. I respect your opinion.

Me personally, I disagree with the term African American. I would venture to guess that 90 percent of people of color, that are alive today, have been born in the United States. They are Americans. I’m American though my bloodline is English. Yes, their bloodline for the most part is African but they are American. Just my personal thought on the terminology.

I will take a look at the videos you have shared over the weekend.

      Have a blessed 4th!

      1. It is now obvious he did not delete my comment. I apologize for offending everyone who thinks I called Stu not a man, when Stu obviously IS a man for posting my dissenting comments.

I also pray for wisdom in how we approach other’s pain. What it comes down to is I want to make sure that everyone knows they can be healed by God. Healing of our temporal physical world is nice, but healing of our eternal spirit is eternally valuable.

However, if we ignore or dismiss other’s pain, we will never be able to reach out to them. I am afraid that this is what is happening here. I feel it should stop. I hope anyone who dismisses African American’s pain will gain the wisdom to see it.

This number is not a helpful number. A helpful number takes into account population of each race. With that, African Americans are almost 3 times as likely to be killed by police than a white person.

  5. Jamie,
Your perspective is summarized by the phrase “looting and destruction of an entire race of people”. There is so much that could be said about that phrase alone. I believe you have accepted information from one set of sources, but have discounted or denied the truth of other, disagreeing sources. Presuming you agree that God desires justice, I maintain that justice requires wise consideration of all relevant information. Right now, I am generally angry (I think it’s a righteous anger) with the polarization of thought (or, very often, non-thought) on this issue, and I consider it to demonstrate Satan’s effort to win the battle of good and evil. Unfortunately, I believe you have been deceived. I am not going to try to prove it, but simply ask you to ask God for wisdom and guidance on this issue.
