Stu’s World XLIX

This week has been such a trip! Both in good ways and not so good ways.

Let’s begin with work…shall we…

Super crazy busy! At one point I was working on seven customers waiting out front plus one for delivery.

We have a new guy. Well sort of. He’s been with us about a month. But he is a little in pulling the orders, so one of the salesmen came to me the other day while I was working on an order for delivery and goes, can you help him? The customer will be here in an hour. I was like sure…after I finish mine. Mine was huge and I really didn’t want to stop. I had just finished the order when the salesman finds me and says the customer is out front.

So the new guy had an hour to pull this and have it ready. Here I’m thinking he should be almost finished. Nope. He has only pulled the first item on the list…250 studs and had like half a page left๐Ÿ˜ฎ. I grab the ticket and finish it within ten minutes, take it out front and apologize to the customer for having to wait.

They shouldn’t have given the new guy a ticket that size…just saying.

One of the guys at work tipped me 5 for loading his truck. I’m like no, that’s not how it works. I’m just doing my job. He goes, yes because you are always willing to help load and not complain about it. So go by something to drink.

Then a customer tipped me๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Then one of the guys comes up and asks if I have the cash app. I’m like no. He told me to download it because we are fixing to help someone out. It’s time to be a blessing. So I download the app. Fifteen minutes later that nut sends me money ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Then I have a few ones out in the parking lot after work๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Now we have to wear these…I can’t stand masks! I know everyone has that invisible one that say I’m ok, but I can’t physical masks. They drive me insane.

See good ways and bad ways…

Brandon finished his tie-dye shirt. He brought it over Thursday evening. So I was glad I got to see him this week and get a hug ๐Ÿ˜ŠFront sideBack side.

I love it ๐Ÿ˜
I miss seeing my kidsโ˜น๏ธ

I tackled the knee high grass today in the backyard ๐Ÿ˜ฎ With all the rain and storms it has been too wet back there to mow. It about killed me just doing half of it. I only have a push mower for crying out loud. So when the mower ran out of gas I did too๐Ÿ˜‚

I’ll work on it some more tomorrow after work if I’m not too tired.

I have chatted with Angie a few time this week๐Ÿ˜Š We have decided, somehow…someway, as soon as this quarantine malarkey is over with we are taking a trip to Florida to spend the weekend with a dear friend of ours and her family. We both seriously need a break/getaway.

She is doing pretty good. She actually has started her businesses at home since she can’t work outside of the home. It is called Angel Designs. Right now she is making onesies for some babies that are coming into the world very soon. She is having fun. That’s what matters to me. She is excited about something. I can hear it her voice ๐Ÿ˜Š

This little romper is my favorite at moment…Too cute!!

Anyway, that’s about it for this week. I’m just too tired about mowing…

Have a great week everyone! Remember to pray for one another ๐Ÿ™

  1. What a blessing! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ Iโ€™m glad you got a few fivers here and there! Youโ€™ve been a blessing to others, and God is just paying you back. ๐Ÿ˜

That mask though! And that expression! ๐Ÿ™‚
Now you got me wanting one of those tie dye shirts and a romper! They both did a fantastic job! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
Hope you and Angie can get away soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Brandon is having so much fun making them. I told him I would buy some tank tops for him to use. I believe the heat is going to hit hard this summer.

Isn’t that romper just too cute๐Ÿ˜Š

      Me too sis, me too!

        1. She is taking orders for the rompers and some onesies at moment. Then moving into adult shirts and other items๐Ÿ˜Š

Yeah the southern heat about wore me out today. I have to get used to the heat again and quick.

  2. My goodness Stuart! You are being blessed my friend. That’s fantastic.

I don’t like wearing a mask either. Especially in this heat. I used to wear a mask a lot with my scrubs out here for work 10 years ago, but I was indoors most of the time. I never wore a mask inside the stores or outdoors really. I don’t know how you wear one outside in the heat there. I would probably pass out!

    Cool shirt!

Maybe this whole virus thing will turn out to be a good thing for making us plan more romantic getaways? ๐Ÿ˜Ž I know I sure wish I had taken him up on that trip to Sedona right before this lockdown. If we get let out of this, I don’t think I’ll ever say “no” to him again. ๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. I only wear it when I have to trust me. Can’t stand those stupid things!!!

I bet you do wish you had said yes, but no one knew this kind of crap would happen. And NO, don’t turn him down for a getaway again…EVER! Those come to few and far between to pass them by ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. You’re better than me when it comes to wearing a mask because I would seriously NEVER touch one of those things! I have a gag problem, and if something touches my mouth or especially one of those icky surgery masks – you will never see me again!
I love that shirt and ooooooooooh, mmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyyyy word!!!!!! That’s the most adorable romper out there! I used to LOVE lady bugs and would be called love bug all the time or wear something saying it!

    1. I only wear it when I am actually face to face with a customer and most of the time I’m like I hate this stupid thing and pull it down๐Ÿ˜‚

I know right! Isn’t it just too cute. Angie did an awesome job๐Ÿ˜Š

That is so cool you were called love bug. Love it๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. Hugs are da best! We drove four hours this past week to break my folks out of their “jail.” (They live in a senior place and don’t have a car; meals are brought to their rooms, so not even seeing others at meals, all activities canceled…) We took them to the grocery store, and took some KFC to a park for a picnic in the sunshine. It was a glorious blessing. And I got HUGS!
So glad you got to hug your son.
