Goodbye 2019 Hello 2020

What a year! I will say that despite the hardships of this year I must say I have been blessed.

Yeah, I lost a job, lost a car and almost became homeless for the third time in a decade.

BUT, I have had the most amazing friends step into my world and support me. You guys…my blogging family. I would not be where I am now if it was not for you all loving me, praying for me and even helping financially during this year. Thank you all from the depths of my heart!!

I have a stronger relationship with my son Brandon and a weaker relationship with my daughter Erin. I knew it was coming, she’s a teen now and hanging out with dad is not cool.

Angie walked back into my life this year. Though at a friendship level. But that’s the thing with us. No matter what we will always be friends and we will always be there for one another!

My word for 2019 was intentional. And despite everything I believe I held true to that.

I have been intentional with seeing the kids more.

I have been intentional with my Bible reading.

I have been intentional at work about sharing Christ.

I have been intentional with maintaining my relationship with Angie.

I have been intentional with my blog. To a degree. I did maintain the daily inspirational posts for the year.

I’m not sure what word or phrase I will choose for 2020…

Here is a quick rundown for the blog.

March was the most active month with over 5,300 views. That was due to the Satan’s Lies | God’s Replies Bible Study from the YouVersion Bible App.

The most viewed posts were:

When The Walls Of Stress Tear You Down, which was actually written in November of 2018 but became a huge hit on Pinterest in 2019.

A Q & A Of Sorts: How Should I Address My Child Who Is Masturbating?, which was a response to an email from a fellow blogger.

I Was There, which is based off of the photo. It just took a long time to get permission to use the photo, which is actually a painting.

My Beautiful Amazing Love Part 1, which is the beginning of mine and Angie’s story.

From A Porn Scene Mentality To Intimacy With Your Wife, which was actually written in 2017. But it stays in the top 5 because it a honest and real look at the topic of sexual intimacy from a man’s perspective. And it’s proof that this topic is still a vital one to talk about!

Here is my audience for 2019

I’ve had folks as “remote” as Qatar read my posts along with folks from Kuwait, Taiwan, Malaysia and even Israel. So I guess my blog is officially an international one 😮

Here is a list of my personal favorites:

Tell The Story Challenge II | The Locked Door

Mirror Series Part I

Tell The Story Challenge II | The White Dress

Porn: The Trojan Horse

Pastors, Quit Tickling Ears And Preach Real Life Issues

I am truly humbled and honored so many of you have liked and commented on my posts. With almost 50,000 views, 20,000 likes and 9,000 comments I am floored.

It has been because of you guys that some of my images pop up on Google search. Which in turn has brought people to my blog to read what God can do in a person’s life. Thank you! Prayerfully the Lord ministered to that person.

And we started a Blogger Prayer Group in 2019, which will continue into 2020. It’s a safe place to share prayer requests for family and friends. It has been such an honor to be a part of this wonderful group of prayer warriors! To those who participate…

🤗🤗

If you would like to join the prayer group or would like for me to cover a certain topic on my blog just shoot me an email at stubaby777@gmail.com.

Here’s to the New Year!!

  3. Good job on being intentional on you Bible app. When you’re hiding God’s Word in your heart, you might not sin against Him. And besides, you’re sharing it, which is a blessing to you, your readers, and God.
