  1. Comments have been turned on. This is crazy. I go the settings and it says comments are allowed on all posts. But the past few other than the daily Inspiration ones the comments are turned off. Argghhh!!!!

  2. Lovely post Stuart! Thank you for your nomination. I have started a post to respond, it is in my drafts folder. These posts take me ages – I work on them little by little. But you will see it eventually (probably on a Saturday, I seem to be choosing Saturdays to publish nomination posts for some reason).

  3. Congrats Stu! There’s nothing like fresh figs off the tree! I’m a fan of fruit, so I’m thinking I have a lot of favorites! Sausage is good, too. We eat Conecuh sausage a lot here. My late FIL loved kielbasa…And by your answers, sounds like you could be a regular mountain man! 🙂😁

      1. Yummy! My dad LOVES his cream of mushroom soup. Oh goodness, when I was little, he mixed it with rice for a side dish. He loves to make a mix of hamburger meat and pour the soup in it. It is almost always in his grocery cart when I take him shopping. 😀

Stuart, have you ever had that chicken casserole that has mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup, broccoli florets and stove top stuffing?

          1. I can’t find the recipe. But, I used to make it and it was one of the best things ever! These were all of the ingredients:

            Cut up cooked chicken breast
            Cream of mushroom soup
            Jar of sliced mushrooms
            Frozen broccoli florets
            Stove top stuffing

I think the stuffing went on the bottom and then the mixture, then stuffing spooned on top or sprinkled and I baked it in the oven. Oh my word, it was the best! It was even better the next day COLD out of the fridge.

            1. Omg girl! That sounds so so good! Will
have to try that! I cook that dish Stu was talking about a lot. It’s easy peasy! Have y’all ever tried browning chicken in butter in a skillet, (dredged in salted and peppered flour) then transferred to a casserole dish. Add some mushrooms, (sautéed fresh or canned) 1 cup sour cream diluted with 1 cup water. Sprinkle with thyme or whatever you want and cover closely. Bake an hour or till chicken is tender. Season it the way you want. I add onion powder and garlic powder. Serve the gravy mixture over rice, mashed potatoes or boiled potatoes. Some don’t like sour cream, but we love it. 😋

              1. Oh, it is good! I never make it anymore because I don’t have anyone to help me eat it unless I take some to my parents. I guess I could do that. 🤔😂 I love broccoli and stuffing. I made this casserole for a man I loved and he was reminding me about it years later. I think he wanted me to make it for him, but I gave him the recipe instead. 😈 His new women can make it for him. 😛 Seriously, it was THAT good. 😎

Ohhhh, your chicken with butter sounds yummy! 😮
