Have you watched those around you lately?
Do you really see?
Do you see the pain behind the forced smile?
Do you feel the sadness behind the words…”I’m ok.”
This world is broken and yet we live comfortably in our little bubbles.
But let me ask you this?
Do you care…
About the little girl or boy down the street whose dad or mom is abusive…
About that teenage girl or boy who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and was used for someone’s sick sexual pleasure…
About all females and males being kidnapped, raped and discarded…
About that nice little elderly lady or man who just lost the love of their life and do not know how to go on without them…
About that little young person who hides their cutting so no one asks questions…
About that person who has tried to commit suicide because they feel no one loves them…
About that person who has lost all mobility of limbs and can never do for themselves again…
About that person who self medicates their pain through drugs, alcohol and sex…
About that abuser who is inflicting pain on the innocent because they don’t know how to deal with their own…
About the little child who only wants a parents approval, yet never gets it so they abandon their dreams and end up doing drugs and worse…
About the loved ones of those mentioned above…
You should care!!!
Let me share something with you. Jesus didn’t die so you could get salvation and then sit on your favorite pew every Sunday and then do nothing about helping those He loves and died for!
It IS our job to help those hurting, confused, ashamed and broken people.
We ARE the light in a very dark world. We are to carry that light so others can see it’s source…not keep it hidden in the four walls of your home!
Do you remember what you felt like in your brokenness?
Well, there are billions everyday screaming for help in one form or another.
Will you listen?
Will you see?
Will you help?
Father,
May you open our hearts and ears to the sometimes silent cries of those hurting around us. May we be that beacon of hope for a lost soul.
You did not send your Son just for our salvation but so we can live as well. An abundant Life! And yet there are some of your children who do not know where their next meal will come from. I know it breaks your heart to see your children suffer. As I’m sure it breaks your heart to see your children not helping when they should.
Father break our hearts for what breaks yours!
Give us all the strength needed to reach out to those broken and hurting hearts.
Give us the wisdom to speak the truth and love as you love… unconditionally.
We are all here for a purpose. God guides us to give glory to Himself, and to bless us immeasurably. We need to get to work!

Great post to remind us all we sit in our igloos. Keep praying for God to remove, bring relief from all the neglect and evil in the world.
