I missed work Monday due to my co-workers truck not starting. So I text my boss and let them know what’s going on. I tried finding another means to work but that did not pan out. So around three p.m. I text my co-worker and ask about his truck. No answer. So I made arrangements for Tuesday to get to work and managed to find a ride home.
Guess what time my co-worker texts me back? 2 in the freaking morning. All the text said was battery. I missed an entire 11 hour shift. He missed two days and almost lost his job. He never called in to let them know anything. You would think he would know better…he is about my age after all. But in my eyes it takes an hour to change out a battery…geez.
Angie called and said she wanted to go get some more of her things. I told her I would pay for gas and everything if she really wanted to go.
I let Brandon know that I may be going out of town with Angie. He was sad but excited because that meant he would be able to see her too as she would have to pick me up at the Taekwondo school Friday.
Well…it was pouring down rain for two days so when she called me Friday and said she still wanted to go but didn’t at the same time. I told her I do not want you driving in this weather. Stay home and we will make plans to go another weekend soon.
So I go inside to let Brandon know that we will be having our normal Friday night. He looked disappointed a little. He really wanted to see Angie too π
It’s still raining when we leave to go home but we made the most of it. We played in the puddles the whole way home and we were completely soaked from head to toe π
But Brandon was laughing and having fun watching me jump in the puddles and splashing him. And then he would jump in it and soak me. How are his splashes bigger??
Home, dry clothes, spaghetti (his favorite), bath and bed.
Today Brandon called to let me know how well he did on the shooting range….
He is in 4H and he choose this and archery!
Here’s his marksmanship…
You will have to enlarge the picture to see the three bullet marks by π―. He was so excited π I am so proud of him!
My week would not be complete without eating a few of these packages of awesomeness…
Go ahead…drool…I did π
This may be T.M.I but Friday I was complaining at work. I don’t mind working in the rain. It can be fun. But I hate getting back on my forklift…on a wet seat…and my butt gets wet.
One of salesmen ask me why I’m complaining and I say…
There are only three ways my butt should be getting wet and I’m not doing any of them right now. He just tilts his head and looks at me funny. I said my butt should only get wet when I’m taking a shower, swimming or when someone is kissing it. The look on his face killed me ππ
I shared that story with Angie and she cracked up. Because well…
I got bored at work…
All day for 11 hours…ughhh
In between customers I was playing Candy Crush. I thought about writing a post or two and schedule them but if I got interrupted I would completely lose my train of thought. So I figured playing games would be easier on me mentally…lol
I hope everyone is enjoying the When The Devil Knocks Bible study. I enjoy doing them and sharing my thoughts. I can’t share them on the YouVersion Bible app as my thoughts can be lengthy.
Please be in prayer for Angie. She has been sick for the past few days. I so want to surprise her on her birthday but I have to settle on the fact that I just can’t go see her π¦ So please pray for me as I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I will feel as if I have let down.
Remember to pray for one another this week. Just comment on someone’s post that you will praying for them this week. You may never know what a fellow blogger is going through but just knowing someone is praying does make a difference! Trust me on that one!
Have a blessed week everyone!
Great post Stu! I will definitely be praying for you Stu! I found out Friday my injury is worse than originally thought. I see my fourth doctor tomorrow and start ultrasound treatments for 4 weeks. They are ‘hoping’ this will help. She didn’t sound too convincing. I hope you have a great week brother!ππΈ

Love the picture of your little man at the shooting range. 4-H is great! And he picked some good skills.
I’m praying for you.

Thanks Kathy. I wish I could have been there to cheer him on but I’ve chosen that to be mom time. Those are good skills to have. He chose things he wanted to learn to do. He’s hit the bullseye in archery several times already π
Thanks for the prayers!
