The Barnabas Award 2019 | 3rd Nomination

My dear little sis Lydia has nominated for The Barnabas Award 😊 Thank you so much little sis. I am deeply honored and humbled by your words of encouragement in saying I encourage you!

You have been chosen for this recognition because of the encouragement and inspiration you bring to your readers.

The way this works:

Thank the person who nominated you, and share their blog.

Think of five bloggers that encourage and inspire you and nominate them.

List five things about yourself.

Lastly, ask your nominees five questions. Why five? Because is the number that signifies grace.

5 things about Stu

I’m in a constant battle where my flesh and my spirit wage a war against one another.

With this new phone I have become addicted to Candy Crush…again…

I stay in this small little town only so I can be close to my kids. I would move back home to Shreveport if I could…just saying

I love pasta!!

I love going on nature walks. The clean air, the sounds and animals are so soothing!

Here are the questions…🤔😂

This is strange. I nominated Purple Rose ad she kept my questions and nominated Lydia. Lydia also kept my questions…so I am answering my own questions 😂😂

1. Who in your life is your biggest encourager?

Bar none…Brandon. Of course Angie as well. She is, like Brandon, always building me up.

2. How do you see yourself as being an encouragement to others?

It may surprise you but I don’t really see myself as much of an encouragement to others. I give compliments from my heart. I see the best in people (or I try to at least) and I want them to see the best in themselves as well.

Angie is always telling me that I give her too much credit. I always so no I’m not…you are stronger than you think you are!

3. When was the last time someone gave you words of encouragement?

Just last night. Reading Renee’s and Tosin’s comments on the My Beautiful Amazing Love series 😊❤️

4. When you are down, what encourages you to get back up and keep pressing on?

No question about this one. Hearing my kids say I love you Daddy😍 Other times a certain song will do the trick!

5. Who was your greatest encourager when you first accepted Christ?

That would be two women in my life. My grandmother who gave me my Bible and my mom who always ensured I was in church when the doors opened…even on those days where I didn’t want to go.

I am giving this award to…

Joe at Lighthouse Devotionals

Yonnie at Yonnie In His Care

Kathy at Maggie Tiggles

Ruth at Planted By Living Water

J.S. at My Father’s Symphony

And since everyone seems to like these questions I will stick with them😂😂🤣

I hope everyone has a blessed Sunday!

  1. Congrats Stu! 🎉 Pasta and nature walks are da bomb! And I beg to differ with you. I think you encourage others way more than you will know! Keep walking in faith and letting your light shine….And the questions were obviously good ones for everyone to keep them! Just saying 😂

  2. Thank you, brother! You are more than a Barnabas in my book! You are a Joshua; Determined to Serve God in spite of the challenges. You are a David: Truly a man after God’s heart. You are a Lighthouse; Shining unihibitedly the light that drives away the darkness. Keep shining for Jesus! And THANK YOU, for the award!
