Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

  1. This aligns with 2Cor 5.17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
    God’s plan and design are perfect: of course we must have a new creature [new wineskin (askoi) Strong’s Greek 779: A wine-skin, leather bottle; a leathern bag used as a bottle]. If we tried stuffing God’s new creature into the old one, it would surely burst with praise and light!
