A Walk Down Memory Lane

This story showed up in my memories this morning and while looking for photos of her restaurant, which sadly are on my old Windows phone, I ran across some precious photos and memories. So here we go…

The story of a little angels prayer request.

Remember last night I posted my daughter’s pray of… Lord let me tell others about you and help me not be shy.

Well before going to bed last night she made herself a play restaurant out of a box I had in the playroom.

Upon waking up this morning she decided to cook breakfast..waffles and eggs. Then she’s like oh cool dad, I can sell waffles this morning out of my restaurant. So after eating we take her restaurant outside and set it up with signs. One says open and on the flip side it says closed. The other sign says waffles for $1.00.

Next thing I know she is coming in saying dad you need to make 2 waffles. Here’s the money for those..with a big grin on her face. She then goes on to sell yet another waffle. While washing the last plate she goes “Dad, I think God gave me this idea so I would get over my shyness.”
I teared up as I said “Yes angel, He did.
She smiled and went back outside and sold another waffle.

I so needed this this morning. To see my little angels faith in action this morning.

WOW!

My friends didn’t believe me when I said Brandon is my mini-me ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
Can you guess who’s idea this was…lol
Me and my babies ๐Ÿ˜Š
Sunday morning and Erin never went anywhere without her Angie doll!
Mean ole daddy for not renting the car…but oh my gosh the face ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Watermelon smasher ๐Ÿ˜Š
Mud cakes complete with candles.
My best dad award โคโค
Erin found the sidewalk chalk again ๐Ÿ˜Š
Brandon helping shave the back of my head ๐Ÿ˜Š He still shaves my head!
Yep, that’s my angel!!
Daddy, where’s my ball?
Erin being…well…Erin ๐Ÿ˜
My little monkey
What to do, what to do???

Have I told you have much I love munchkins โคโคโค

When they were younger, both Erin and Brandon would both spend the night with me on Wednesdays and Saturdays. And their prayers…oh my gosh!!

They would break through the hardest of hearts. And usually it was my heart that would break! How could it not with both of my kids praying and asking God to help me be the best dad possible.

I miss those younger years ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Aww how sweet! I was just thinking the other day about how time goes by so fast. I miss my daughter being younger. (I don’t think I’ll miss the teenage years though. ๐Ÿ™„) You’re such a good dad!

    1. I’m glad you liked the little trip down memory lane with the kids ๐Ÿ™‚

I am very proud of them both! Brandon just passed his pretesting for his black belt. So now her has to work harder for two months before the real testing so he can become a blackbelt โค
