The Moonlight Blogger Award

This is so freaking cool! Purple Rose & Dollfaced Writer have come up with a new awardπŸ‘πŸ˜Š

I am so honored that Purple Rose chose me to participate in this. Sis, I am so touched that you feel my words can illuminate the darkest of places. I am humbled that you can also see my passion through my writing.

It has been such a joy watching you grow as a blogger! I am so proud of you sis. But more than that I am thankful the Lord allowed our paths to cross and become friends!

Here are the guidelines:

1. Thank the person who presented you with the award.

2. Display the original award image as your featured image and include it in your post.

3. Copy and paste the meaning of the award:

The meaning of the Moonlight Blogger Award, created by Purple Rose and Dollfaced Writer, is to recognize bloggers who illuminate the lives of their readers. The bloggers presented with this award pour their passion into the content they share with their readers, who are deeply inspired. This award acknowledges the impact of their written words as they have the power to illuminate the darkest of places, just like the moonlight.

4. Answer the five prompts listed.

5. Present the award to one person.

Here are the prompts:

1. Share one thing you love about yourself that you wouldn’t change.

πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

My ability to….

Ok…ok… here’s one…my ability to listen instead of just hear!

2. Share two of your favorite quotes.

3. Give three reasons why you write.

The main reason I write is to let people know that sin does not have to keep them bound in chains because there is freedom from those chains through Jesus.

I enjoy sharing my thoughts. My brain might explode if I kept all my thoughts to myself.

And another reason is this…one post that touches one person’s heart could be shared and be able to reach thousands with a message of hope that they may not have otherwise heard about.

4. Give four pieces of advice for other bloggers.

Do not worry about the numbers…they lie!

No matter what you do…be yourself. If there is something you want to write about…do it! If a reader gets offended…well maybe they needed to be offended.

Be honest and real in all you write about!

Do not just follow someone for the sake of them following you back. This isn’t Twitter! This is a loving community of people who will stand by you through anything if you take the time to build the relationship. Read their posts and comment honestly.

5. List five things/places/people that inspire you and explain why you chose them.

God…because without Him…trust me, I would still be bound in the chains of addiction trying my hardest to pull myself free from the chains of said addiction and just getting myself farther bound. Thank you Jesus for the freedom in which I walk in!!!!!

Sex…yep I said it! Because it is way more important than most realize and yet not as important as some make it out to be.

Life…because it is always throwing curve balls and there is just a lot that can happen in a person’s life. And if something I have been through can help someone else…then that’s what matters!

My kids inspire me to write because if I can not be honest to the public how can I expect them to be.

Pornography and not for the reasons most would feel inspired to write about such a topic. I can’t stand it. But I was trapped in it for decades and I want people to know the dangers involved and how deeply it hurts not only those around them but themselves as well. And to tell them that freedom from it is possible!!

I am giving this award to Amy over at A New Life.

Thank you so much Amy for all the love you pour into your poems and stories! Your heart for God shines brightly!

  1. Congratulations and…this is fabulous! I like the idea of nominating just one person. Most awards demand so many that its becomes tedious word, taking the joy right out of it as well as devaluating it award itself.

    1. I do love it. You have, in my opinion, taken the award process back to the basics where they truly mean something. And I love the one nominee showing how special the award is!

Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the answers.

I’m sure I’m not done offended people. The truth hurts…no matter the topic!

    1. You a D have brought back the true meaning of awards, especially with the one nomination making it even more special!

I can’t share everything by blurting it out πŸ˜‚ I think some may figure it out soon as I write a certain post I’ve been trying to focus on.

Glad you like my quotes πŸ™‚

      Thank you!!
