Stu’s World VII

Brandon and I started our 4th off a little late. We did our fireworks Friday ๐Ÿ™‚

Sadly you can’t really see the smile on his face.

He had a lot of fun and that is all that matters to this dad. Little man tuckered out early…well for him…around midnight.

We went to Johnny’s Pizza prior to going to the house. He played Galaga and beat his personal high score. He and I both were excited. It was a major difference in points ๐Ÿ™‚

I have enjoyed my four day weekend though my paycheck will suffer for it as I will not get paid for Thursday or Friday. But that will change starting Monday. I go full time with the company. I will no longer be a temporary worker. Yoo-hoo!!

So here I sit at the kitchen table filling out paperwork for work. OMG…it’s a book worth of paperwork that IF the companies computers were up to date would take less than twenty minutes to do. But it will take almost two hours to fill this out by hand ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

The car scenario has not changed, but I do have some money saved…as long as nothing stupid happens. Thank goodness Brandon is understanding about the situation.

Something has to give soon. I’m tired of walking to the store and walking back with bags. And getting to the laundromat is a chore. And Brandon and I both are going through ๐Ÿฃ withdrawal…lol

I have so many thoughts running through my head for posts. Some of those thoughts are written down but most are just tumbling through my brain trying to gain momentum.

I do know I am looking for another Bible Study to do as I enjoy doing them. And I believe you enjoy them as well…or at least I hope you do ๐Ÿ™‚

Squirrel moment….has anyone tried the Imperial Garden Egg Rolls that are available at Family Dollar?

They are awesome and only $1!

Angie called to let me know her first week at her new job is going well. She sounded so happy. She even went to a wedding! Which is huge!!

For those who have not lost a child…the thought of going to a high school graduation or wedding is tough on those who have. For those are times when they realize that they will not see their child graduate or walk down the aisle with the love of their life. It’s hard.

But she did it ๐Ÿ™‚ And she called me on the drive home to share this…for lack of a better word…victory. I am so very proud of her!

She is still struggling financially. And she is very self reliant and will not accept funds from me to help. She says I need it more to get the car situation taken care of…ughhh. But that is her…always putting others before her.

I hope everyone has great week!

  1. I wouldn’t go to baby showers or to the hospital when babies were born for many years. It’s just so hard. Easier now but the thought is always lingering.
Sounds like you have good little guy there! He deserves an ice cream

    1. I can certainly understand that. Angie couldn’t handle funerals too well either. I went with her to several as moral support. Yes, the thought is always there.

He does deserve some ice cream ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Looks like the boys had fun on the 4th!…So glad to hear of your good news with the job! ๐Ÿ‘‹ And that Angie is doing well! It would be tough to lose a child. My parents lost their 12 year old son, before I was born. ๐Ÿ˜ข So glad she made it through the wedding…and as for the car situation-just think of the endurance God is building up in you. When you get your car fixed or another one, you can be a blessing to someone else who is in the same need. Keep the faith! It wonโ€™t always be raining! ๐Ÿ™

    1. Thank you! We did have fun ๐Ÿ™‚ There is more good news along the Angie front that I just can’t share without her permission. But it’s a HUGE answer to prayer! Endurance for real…lol.

  4. Awe! Great pics Stuart. Hi Brandon! ๐Ÿ’•

Omg, I love Galaga!!! It was my favorite game in high school. I had the highest score on the arcade game. It was the only game I was addicted to back then. ๐Ÿ˜‚

It is good to hear your friend is doing so well! That’s fantastic. I know you are thrilled for her and it makes your heart happy.
