My Post Picks For June 2019

I hope everyone has had a great month!

I must be honest, with each passing month it gets harder and harder choosing which posts touch my heart because you all write such great posts!

Thank you all for allowing the Lord to speak to us through your words!

With that said, here are the ones that touched my heart on different levels…

Shaun’s words in Avoid Your Pain has so much truth behind them. The devil hates it when we tell our stories that could give someone else hope. Let’s face the facts…we all have a struggle, a pain, a major hurt that we try so hard to medicate away by various means.

A Part Of Me Dies could have only been penned from the heart of a parent. I loved this Wendi!

Heather has written a post all parents should read in Good Pictures, Bad Pictures And Other Stuff Parents Don’t Want To Talk About. You really need to be open and honest parents even in the awkward conversations! Read and share the heck out of this one 🙂

Oh my dear Tosin! What a beautiful story you have weaved to remind us that He’s In The Boat beaconing us to take His hand and trust Him through the storms of life.

Angel reminds us in You Are A Star. Shine! that regardless if we feel qualified or not we need to use our gifts. Let God handle the rest!

Amy’s guest post Heart So Heavy brought me to tears. It was inspired by my friend Angie and the struggles she has been going through. Amy and several others have been praying for her during this season of struggles. Thank you Amy so much. Your words are truly inspired by the Lord to be a beacon of hope!

Caralyn brought a very powerful and difficult post to write, I’m sure, in Are We Worshipping Our Sexuality. She brings home some valid points regardless of where you stand on the gay community. Reminds me a little of how some “worship” their denomination as a means to define who they are in Christ instead of who they really are…A child of God.

Kim cracked me up this morning with her story of her cat litter scenario 😂 with her cute kitten photos and pictures to go with her story. Go read Letting God Clean Up Our Messes for a great analogy and add a smile to your face 🙂

Renee has blessed us with this gem…My Little Princess You Will Be. Such a precious vision she gives us. While you’re there check out her Alphabet Post Challenge posts. She did an amazing job!!!

I’m Aching To Be Out There by Stefan is a great post of how sometimes God will shut us away from others to complete his masterpiece. Make sure to listen to the instrumental song he wrote. I can so see this being played in a nature movie while watching a butterfly come out of its’ cocoon. Beautifully done brother!!

Reaching Out To Jesus is a strong example of what faith can do. Thank you Dawn for diving into the story of the women with the issue of blood for twelve years. Just a touch of Jesus can do wonders! But there is always a struggle before there is healing.

    1. Just a touch is a song by an old Christian Rock Band that will be tomorrow’s Sunday Music post 🙂
That woman knew she only needed to touch the hem of his garment to be healed. That’s faith!

  1. Thank you, Stu, for always being the kind heart that you are, speaking encouraging words to everyone around you! Your words and posts touch so many lives…and have truly touched me tonight more than you will ever know! 😢 I truly needed this today! I’m humbled…God Bless you my brother friend! With that being said, would you please pray (and anyone else reading) for my youngest daughter. She was admitted into the hospital today with kidney stones in severe pain and throwing up. On top of all this, she is pregnant. It started with the ER yesterday with no pain meds and was sent back home. She got up this morning at 6 am, screaming in pain. Went back to ER. They had to give in and give her something for the pain and nausea.. They say the baby is fine. Tomorrow they will do a stent. Please pray that she and the baby will be fine. Just got back home from the hospital. Tia!

    1. Of course I will be in prayer. I’m passing this on to the prayer group too. Thank goodness the baby is ok. I’m surprised they did concede to giving her something considering that she is pregnant.

      Does she drink Dr. Pepper?

        1. Good, I have a friend who loved Dr. Pepper but was always getting kidney stones. Come to find out her drink of choice was the culprit.

As much as I can’t stand water, it is what she needs to be drinking.

You’re welcome on the prayers and asking others to pray. We must stand together in unison!

          1. Thanks Stu! Just now seeing this comment! So sorry! We both try to stay away from sodas as a rule, all except for an occasional one. It’s best to be safe than sorry. She unfortunately gets them in spite of drinking water only. 😢Thanks for all the prayers!Prayer works! She passed one of the stones while in the hospital Sunday. She’s home now…But they told her she has a few more stones…I pray she doesn’t have any more problems during her pregnancy!

            1. I’m glad she is home and was able to pass one. Hopefully the others are small enough to not cause pain. Yes, prayer does work 😊

It’s cool on not seeing it. I just ran across three replies from last week that I got no notifications for 😦

              1. Thanks Stu 🙂 not only am I having problems with seeing comments and my comments being able to go through on someone’s posts, I am also having internet problems at home. It’s in and out here. 😢 Makes me 🤢

  2. Thank you for being such a big brother to me, Stu. The way you allow the Lord to use you to encourage me is amazing, and I am very grateful, to say the least. A lot has been happening in the past week, my husband had his tonsils removed and I came down with some gastric pain, so I’ve not been able to catch up on a lot. But I thank God that He is in the boat with us all and we have nothing to fear. God bless you so much.

    1. It is my privilege to be your big brother Tosin! So grateful to God for having our paths cross ❤

I’m so sorry to hear of your gastric pains. You did give your hubby some ice cream I hope 😁 I haven’t had mine removed yet, so I can not imagine what he went through 😦

Yes, indeed! For I know my boat would have sank years ago had Jesus not been there with me.
