The Struggle Is Real: Day 5

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
1 Peter 1:22‭-‬25 KJV

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1 Peter 2:1‭-‬3 KJV

K, my take away from these verses is this…

We have experienced the unwavoring love of God we should share that love with others, making their struggles less of a burden. I know from experience that when I was struggling with anything helping someone else made my struggle lighter.

But it is also a reminder that if we concentrate on heavenly things instead of earthly things, that are here today and gone tomorrow, we gain heavenly and eternal rewards.

And that IF we stay in the Word and take it as the nourishment that it is we will have the strength to combat the enemy with the Word of God that is in our hearts.

Be vigilant!

  1. Yes Stu! May we be in the WORD every single day…….may we be the love of CHRIST, every single day. And may we lift one another up, every single day. We need to be HIS light in our world that is gradually turning darker……BE that LIGHT!
Just heard today in Adam’s sermon that JESUS is the future………I should look! Look up and focus on the eternal.
    Blessings friend!

  2. This part: “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” It’s crucial for us to remember of what our new person is made of. We need not depend on our old man. We have the Holy Spirit of the Sovereign Lord within us. That’s power! We must access it, and it grows as we read His Word.

    1. Agreed. There was a time after my dad left that my mom said something when I came out of my room. She said I feel the presence of God when you came out of your room. There is an Aura about you lately.

I want that back so badly. Is it possible is this dark age to get to a point where people can feel the presence of God when we walk in a room? I believe it can happen but I believe it may take more time in the Word and prayer than most of us have on a daily basis.

      Thoughts?

      1. I’ve been in dark places. Didn’t see why I should continue my devotions when it didn’t matter. But God was faithful, and I continued. Every day. He blessed that. Immensely.

      2. I do believe it does happen Stu. I have seen people’s countenance completely change and glow with joy after they were filled with the Holy Ghost! And when one is prayed up, there seems to be a pureness about them that’s unexplainable! It’s God’s power shining through!😄
