Satan’s Lies | God’s Replies: Day 29 God Is There Even When We Do Not Feel Like He Is

Satan’s Lie:
Prayer: When I’ve prayed to God, He didn’t seem to be there.

God’s Reply:

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 KJV

Oh man, how many times have each one of us said that one to ourselves? Either that or He isn’t listening.

It is sort of like a marriage when I think of this one.

During the honeymoon phase it all peachy, loving and you are by each other’s side as MUCH as possible. But as the marriage moves into years or decades you sort of drift apart to some degree.

It’s not like either of you moved away from each other. You were just no longer being intentional as you once were.

It’s the same with God. He doesn’t move. We just no longer become intentional in our seeking of Him.

But God is always with us. He never abandons us.

We move. And when we do…yeah it feels like He’s not listening nor is He beside us.

But if we seek Him with all our hearts, we find that He has been there the whole time waiting patiently for us to do just that.

That is why it is not about religion or denominational malarkey. Its about a relationship. We must be intentional in our desire to get to know God on a deeper level. We must seek him and we must search for Him to know His will for our lives.

  1. This is crazy stu! I’m not sure if you know this but my middle daughter 9 years old is in bible quizzing. She learns a verse a day.
Anyhow you keep posting verses she’s been memorizing! It’s just so cool that I and to say something. May it be a confirmation to.you that you’re in the right path!

  2. Great thoughts. I’ve been convicted to keep a set-aside time for prayer; for that very reason. To be intentional about it, and not so my prayers are answered but simply to know Him better and learn to trust Him better by committing more of myself.
