I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No. It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give it up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child
whole.
God said, No.. His spirit is whole, his body
is only temporary.
I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No. Patience is a byproduct of
tribulations; it isn’t granted, it is learned.
I asked God to give me happiness. God
said, No. I give you blessings; Happiness
is up to you.
I asked God to spare me pain. God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.
I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said,
No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune
you to make you fruitful.
I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No. I will give you life, so that you may
enjoy all things.
I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as
He loves me. God said… Ahhhh, finally you have
the idea.

You are so kind to ask Stuart! I’m ok, a bit battle worn, but God is fighting beside me. 🙏💪

I agree Vivian. It reminds me what I should be praying for, to stop praying for change, because it isn’t change that I need, I need acceptance. Accept that God knows what’s best for me, for me to grow and get closer to Him. To pray for the more important things, like loving, pray so that I may love in the dimension of the cross, as He loves me.
Sending you many hugs Vivian 🥰

Hi dear Ana! Wow, your beautiful thoughts just reminded me of the serenity prayer…..”accepting things I cannot change”….I do believe there is so much peace that comes in surrendering to His will and with that a deep sense of joy. Not based on our outward circumstances but instead the joy of true communion with Him.🙏 I’m praying for you my Ana, with so much hope. 🤗❤🌻

This was amazing and much needed. Amen. He truly does everything just perfect. What I want to change, He’s allowing in my life for a reason. 🙏🏽

Up until a few days ago, yes 🙌🏽 moving six little ones was interesting, to say the least. But they’re excited and very happy in the new space. Thank you so much for asking.
How are you and your kids?

Oh wow! 🥳 Happy Birthday to Brandon, you must be so happy!
My oldest will be 11 in July, and I don’t know how I feel about it. 😌 It’s a true blessing though, to watch them grow.
Has his voice changed?! Eek!

I’m sure, you’re doing good my friend – keep doing what you’re doing!
Lol! I’m sure, it’s not until we have children that we realize, time really does go by as fast as they said it would 😌💕

Yes! Amen – accept things I cannot change! I want to constantly take control, take the reigns, I can’t. It’s not for me to take control of anything. As you said, I must surrender, as the prayer goes, ‘His will be done’ – it says His will, not mine.
Thank you so much for prayer, it’s the best thing to gift someone, the gift of prayer. Likewise. Hope you have a wonderful day. 😊🙏🏽
