R.I.P. Ray Sawyer

Man, I loved Dr. Hook. Besides Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dr Hook stayed with me over the years.

Even though Ray did not sing the major hits for the band like the song Only Sixteen he is who you envision when the band is mentioned.

I hope He met the Lord here on Earth before He meets Him in Heaven.

  1. Dr Hook was a talented group! Not gonna lie! They were like a unique painting in a honky tonk. They sure had some unique songs as well….

    1. I like your wording…the were like a unique painting in a honky tonk. Very unique songs…like Looking for P….and Get My Rocks Off. Watching videos of them last night…dude…it’s like they stayed stoned

      1. Lol!! Yep! They had a lot of sad songs. I think they went through a lot as individuals which made their music so unique. And yes.. they loved the ladies lol!! 😳

      2. I think it was songs Queen Of The Silver Dollar that showed a grim reality of people’s lives. They were an observant bunch. And they painted things in such a artistic way.
