Weekend Busyness

I had the privilege of Brandon staying with me the whole weekend πŸ™‚

What a roller coaster this one was.

Not only was my check short because of fewer hours due to the holidays but he had all these things he needed to attend.

And guess what? He doesn’t have any dress shirts that fit. Of course I found that out the night before his piano recital…after I just bought him some new clothes to wear Saturday for his gymnastics, last minute, practice.

The joys of parenthood is so worth all the stress, money and time spent running around making sure everything is taken care of πŸ™‚

Friday night we rented The Meg after picking up a frozen pizza for dinner and his clothes for Saturday. Yes, we have already seen the movie at the theaters but Brandon wanted to watch it again. It was just as good the second time. He jumped in the same places…lol

Saturday was basically spent in the gymnastics building. They are getting prepared for their showcase where they will be judged based on their performances.

He and Erin both performed awesomely! Brandon did better than he ever has. Made me proud to be there to see it πŸ™‚

Too much going on for taking pictures as they were both doing things at different areas at the same time.

So today we wake up run to Walmart to get his dress shirt. And guess what? There are no dress shirts. So for his piano recital Brandon is wearing a white polo with his suit.

He kept saying over and over all morning…”dad, I’m going to mess up my song. I always mess it up in this one spot.” I tried explaining to him that if he continues to say he believes he will mess up that he will. I told him that I know he will do his best and that is all I can ask for and that I am proud of him.

He did mess up, which is weird. He just froze. He played it for me Thursday over the phone and didn’t miss a beat. When he finished and sat down beside me I put my arm around him and said you did great. It’s not easy getting up in front of people and talking, much less play a song on a piano when you are nervous. What you did took a lot of strength. I am proud of you son.

My beautiful angel did great with her song as well. She looked so amazing in her dress and curls πŸ™‚

Brandon sent me some pictures that he took and some that were taken of him during Thanksgiving with his mom and her family…

Such a handsome little man πŸ™‚

He has such an eye for awesome sunset pictures!

He even made a short video for a few of them

And one of me and him πŸ™‚
