Six Year Anniversary

Well, it’s official!

I don’t even know how to explain this journey! But, I will try…

What started off as speaking the truth about porn and spiritual leadership has turned into giving you something to Stu over with every day struggles.

For the first four years, I’ll be honest, I almost quit several times. Numbers depressed me… because well there really wasn’t any. Here I was pouring out my heart and it seemed like no one was listening.

I had less than 100 followers and not even a tenth were reading my post and a tenth of them might like a post and leave a comment.

In 2014 The Happy Quitter, nominated me for The Very Inspiring Blog Award. That helped a little in getting my name out there, but it still wasn’t what I felt it should be.

I took about a one year break a few years back. It felt good, but I missed writing. I missed sharing and offering hope.

So I returned to my blog and did a month of daily inspirational posts, which I plan on doing again this December as well! It was fun and set the stage for me truly writing again.

And then last year God moved!

God has truly blessed me in the past year and a half bringing into my life some of the most amazingly talented, supportive and loving blogging friends a guy could ask for.

Heck, He even started a blogger prayer group this year! Another blessing!

And yes, my numbers have skyrocketed compared to last year with close to 450 followers and more like and comments in one day than used to get in a full year.

The likes are genuine and comments come from the heart. I thank you all for that!!!❤

There are a few things that I have learned since I started.

One is staying true to yourself. Even though my blog has changed from what it started out as…it is actually better and more sincere and well…me.

Another thing is that Numbers Lie. God has this all planned out…don’t sweat the numbers.

And another thing…is to follow other bloggers. Comment on the posts that touch your heart. Build those friendships!

Lastly, if you are a Christ follower, offer hope. This world and the church need it badly!

As the anniversary is here I would like to share some posts with you that you may have missed over the years…

          1. You go to the post you want to link to and copy the the whole URL. Then you got back to the post you are writing, in edit mode, and highlight…say Sixth Anniversary…hit the link icon. It will pull up a box, there you paste the URL you copied and hit save. Then update your post.
It’s not hard just time consuming if you use a phone like I do.

    1. Oh, Yonnie…thank you so much for this! I am blessed to call you friend 💜

I have heard and read stories from those he has touched and even called to salvation through this little blog of mine and His. And with every single one I tear up and ask why use me Lord. Now, I’m crying…the Lord always says because you are mine and you have chosen

      God bless you Yonnie!!
