The Blogger Recognition Award 2018 | Third Nomination

I really am tripping out. I have been blogging for almost 6 years now and the love, appreciation, and friendships that the last twelve months has brought…has been…well…more than I could ever have imagined.

Like with this award Ana, from Mom Life With Chiari, so graciously nominated me for. The Blogger Recognition Award! An award which Ana deserved being nominated for as well as the other awards coming her way 🙂

Thank you so much Ana for your support, encouragement and prayers! I am blessed to call you friend ❤

The Rules:

  • Thank the Blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Write a post to show your Award.
  • Give a brief story of how your blog started.
  • Give two pieces of advice to New Bloggers
  • Select 15 or more bloggers for this award.
  • Let each Nominee know you’ve Nominated them and leave a link to your post.

How Something to Stu Over became a reality:

In 2013 I gave my testimony at the Wrestling For Your Life conference. It is here that I met Ted Debiase and Kerri from Kerri Chronicles. It was actually her support that got me started blogging. She said I had a story to tell and that I had a way of making people think. So what originally started out as Speaking The Truth became Something To Stu Over after much thought, prayer and text messages.

My tips for new bloggers:

1. Be you! You have a voice that needs to be heard. Speak from your heart and do not let anyone smash your voice. Someone needs to hear YOUR story.

2. I learned this one just over the past year. Be genuine. I don’t mean just with your posts but with your comments on other bloggers pages. If you are simply trying to get more followers don’t comment, but if you actually felt something from reading the words written from their heart then let them know. What you will gain is more than just simply a follower…you will gain a friend.

My nominees are:

Gail Loves God

Sparkkling Thoughts

My Namestè 365

  1. Thank you Stuart for your kind words. You and your blog deserve the recognition. And I agree with your advice, being our true self is the only thing that will help us get ahead. If you pretend to be someone you’re not, sooner or later, it’ll all catch up to you, leaving you tired and fragile. Also, being genuine, being honest will reflect in your writing, and that will be appreciated.
Great post my friend, I’ve always admired your courage and honesty in your writing. 😊🙏🏽

  5. Congrats on this Stu! So happy for you and you deserve this for sure. Enjoyed hearing about your start to your blog. I think all of us might have an interesting story as to how or why we blog. But I do believe we are a part of a wonderful community. Everyone is very gracious and encouraging for sure!! I do love your voice here and how you touch on the truly difficult subjects. You speak in a bold way, that I know for sure the LORD is with you because your posts are filtered always with grace! Blessings to you fellow blogger!

          1. yes it is wierd so have been able to click on your name from here and get to you, but now it puts me to another page: it says: somethingtostuover.wordpress.com doesn’t exist. However, I can go to you at: stubaby777.wordpress.com. Isn’t that right? Who knows I don’t get all this back end stuff anyway, but didn’t want to lose touch with you! UGH!

                  1. Ok well then hope you figure this out! I had trouble today getting FB to connect with my posts too. Never could get it to work so had to post manually…….it was working fine last week.
