Pray Anyway

This brought me to tears. People just do not understand the power of prayer until they truly witness it first hand.

I am just blown away by this post and the openness in which Cynthia shares her story with us. What a powerful testimony of what God can do if we simply get out of His way.

God bless you sis!

Tears in a Bottle

You don’t have to believe in God to pray. That’s what our Sexual Recovery Therapist told my husband as he outlined the sex addiction recovery program my husband was about to begin. Having a day bookended by prayer wouldn’t have fazed me too much. As a Christian, I didn’t spend as much time talking to God as I could or should have. Twice a day would have been a stretch. But something I would have readily agreed to as a part of my recovery program.

And yet it wasn’t me seeking healing from a pornography addiction, compulsive masturbation and intimacy anorexia. It was my husband. A man who did not believe in the existence of God.

  1. I know how powerful prayer is. I have prayed for many sick people and their health improve immediately or over a period of time, I have not been at their side. It is what is known as Distant Healing. Through God and Jesus Christ the healing takes place. Prayers are powerful forms of transmitting Love from one to another. They do not have to have the same belief system as you either. Prayer is Prayer, along with Healing. It is God who is looking into the Souls of people and decides the outcome. Thanks for the share Stuart.

  2. Thank you, Stu, for sharing my post. At this moment, the words that come to my mind, actually belong to Mercy Me……”Your glory goes on and on and on and on, it’s never gonna fade away, it keeps going on and on and on and on, forever will Your glory reign.” Because yes “I’m amazed by God’s wondrous glory, struck by the way it’s consuming me!”

Thanks for being a part of sharing God’s faithfulness and glory by sharing my story and yours!!

    1. That is such a beautiful song 🙂

I simply had to share it Cynthia. This opened my eyes to the spiritual intimacy that you have been referring to. That is what made me cry…I saw it for the first time in your words of the importance of the two of you praying together.

God’s faithfulness and glory indeed. I am so blessed to be able to get a glimpse!
