Thank you Have You Ever Noticed for choosing me to participate in this quote challenge that was created by A Guy Called Bloke. It’s actually pretty cool, simple and yet can be tough depending on the word of the day. You choose 3 bloggers to write 2 quotes, each, on 1 word given to them by you.

My topic of the day is…

Note: Although this is the topic for today there is no specific deadline to it, meaning you can answer when you chose.

Here are my two quotes… with a story. Yeah, I know, go figure.

Quote #1

There is this certain woman in my life that I will just call my beautiful amazing love. She came into my life when, what I needed most was a friend. That friendship grew into the most beautiful and hardest relationship. We learned, we trusted, we laughed, we cried and showed each other a different love than either of us had ever known before. A love that can never be duplicated. A love of a lifetime. A lifetime that was not long enough.

One of my favorite things to do was to walk up behind her, wrap my arms around her waist, press my lips to her neck, breathe in deeply and say hey beautiful, I love you. I miss that so much! Honestly, I miss it all ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Our love did not die with our relationship…it just changed. To me a real love never dies.

Quote #2

Love will bring a sinner to repentance.

Love creates life and sometimes love takes a life.

Love will bring a person to their knees.

Love will grieve.

Love hurts.

Love will trust.

Love will forgive.

Love is not selfish.

Love will sacrifice.

Love rebukes.

Love rejoices.

Love heals all wounds

And we wonder why it is said in scripture that the greatest out of faith, hope and love is love. For without love, one can not have faith or hope.

One last one just because…

    1. Thank you Wendi. I reworded the one about the love of a lifetime…a smidgen from what I told her on our one year anniversary. What I told her was…you are the love of a lifetime and a lifetime is not long enough to love you. Brought back very fond memories ๐Ÿ™‚
Take your time. There is no time limit ๐Ÿ‘

  3. So incredibly beautiful Stuart! I can relate to this love loss, itโ€™s a grieving process. For me, we met young – too young perhaps. But our lives took different routes after college and it was never the same. But the love loss hurt me to the core. I can only thank my husband whom has been the one to help unpack – the term I like to use for all the baggage heโ€™s had to deal with. And God of course.

    1. Thank you so much Ana! I’m still grieving to an extend.

The unpacking is hard at times but crucial in moving forward. I’m glad he has been willing to help unpack with you. That says a lot for husband ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. I understand. Iโ€™m still grieving. Youโ€™re right, it is a grieving process, as if part of me has died or he took a part of me when the relationship broke apart. Canโ€™t quite put my finger on it. Itโ€™s hard to know or admit how long a broken heart can take to mend. A lifetime?! Itโ€™s been too long for me and there are things that will take me back to that place and time.

Yes, heโ€™s been so helpful, my brokenness hasnโ€™t been due to him and heโ€™s taken it upon himself to help me in the healing process.

  4. This is beautiful! Love is something that everyone should feel in life because it makes us think of someone other than ourself… I see that you have done this well and wrote about it beautifully. Thank you!

  5. Love, a word with many meanings, but a word that can be hard to say even when you have it filling up every single part of you. Love can and has been a beautiful thing in my life. The kind of love that never dies, but continues on in my heart. I miss the whiskers of I Love You and the just knowing that I had someone who was always there to remind me that I was loved. Now as i go on in this life, i have that feeling of love for someone who deserves to feel it also, but as i struggle with the feelings, i have not been able to say that word. Maybe in fear that if it was said, things would go wrong, or maybe that feeling wouldn’t be given in return. Love can be amazing and yes, everyone should have it in there life. To think of someone else and feel an amazing emotion towards another is Gods gift to all of us.
