Sunday Music: Gaither Vocal Band | A Few Good Men

I’ve decided to do something a little different. Every Sunday, for the next couple of….oh I don’t know…I will be sharing some of my musical taste with you guys.

This will let you hear some songs that you may not know about and to allow you into my world a little bit more.

Music is a major part of my life. It can change my mood at the drop of a hat. Many a time, I have been depressed, lonely or angry and one song comes on the radio and changes my mood.

This song had a major impact on me after reading Anchor Man by Steve Farrah. As a matter of fact the whole album is off the chain, but this song made me realize that in order to change the world, God really just needs a few good men. Men, who are willing to take a stand for Christ and what is right even when we have our own doubts. Men who are full of compassion. Men who are willing to love, laugh and cry. Men who will speak out even without knowing what to say, while having the faith to know that God will give them the words to say.

  3. I listened to the Gaither Vocal Band as a teenager back in the eighties when it wasn’t exactly the cool choice of music. It was right alongside my Petra, Stryper, Michael W Smith, Amy Grant stuff. Listening today, their music and message is timeless. Yes, we need a few good men. Every single one of them counts. You, my husband……..God is growing His Kingdom.

    1. Good musical taste 🙂 For me the Christian music of the eighties is the best. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy what is out there now too. Just something about the eighties though.

      He is building His Kingdom…restoring one broken man at a time.
      God is faithful!

  5. Ah, you are bringing back some fond memories for me! There was a time when I used to be on a small vocal team that sang a long of the Gaither music (as well as others). Thanks for making my day!! 🙂 ❤
