Comfort Others During Their Struggles

What a blessing it is to have God come along side you, comfort you during your storm. Not only does he comfort you but He forgives and heal. It can be, at times, what I described to my ex-wife after watching the birth of our son…the most beautiful disgusting thing I have ever seen.

I mean come on, storms in life can be downright ugly and scary at times.

Heck, even healing can really be disgusting at times. Confessing the pain, the anger, the betrayal, the hurt, etc is very painful and sometimes it brings up things you wish you had forgotten. And yet it is beautiful, as you feel the overwhelming love of the Father flows over you as He forgives you of each sin. And what follows is hope for a future that is different than what you just went through.

He answers when we call out folks. he really does. It’s just that it may not be the “answer” you were looking for. Sometimes his answer is placing someone in your life that has been there before. And God is telling them to pay it forward.

He has answered my prayers like that on multiple occasions and I not only gained a friend but a brother/sister. People I love deeply because they heeded God, came into my life, comforted me at my worst and stayed. They are still walking with me years later. Praise God!

If God is telling you to help someone…do it. More than likely you are the answer to their prayers. God chose you to walk beside them, guide them and comfort them during their time of need.

God is calling us to action. Are you willing to comfort others as your were comforted?

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4 KJV
