Wow! Thank you so much Kranti for nominating me!
It is always such a humbling experience to be recognized by your peers. I don’t think I’ll ever get to the point where I don’t go “oh my gosh” when nominated.
I do love these awards and challenges, because by answering each other’s questions we get to know one another a little bit more than we normally would through our regular writings, as do our readers π
Thank you again Kranti for this honor. Please go and check out her great blog posts at Sparkkling Thoughts
Here’s a little history on The Liebster Award
Recognizing bloggers for their efforts is the greatest compliment. The Liebster Award is an opportunity for bloggers to recognize and support other bloggers for their achievements. Itβs geared towards blogs with smaller viewership.
The Liebster Award is available from January 1 β December 31, 2018. All nominations are voluntary and if the blogger chooses to accept nomination, I will list the rules at the bottom of this post and the official rules can be found HERE
Here are Kranti’s Questions for her nominees:
One dream you are chasing to fulfill?
Growing up I just wanted to be good husband and father. I failed at the first one or I wouldn’t be divorced. But I can’t blame her or myself. I was never shown how to be a good husband. I still have a chance to be a good father and I try my best. I will continue to be best the best dad I can be til the Lord calls me home.
Beach or Mountain?
I’ve always wanted to life on a mountain in a cabin with a stream beside it that lead to a lake. That way I could hunt and fish π
What is the inspiration behind your blogging?
The inspiration behind my blog is hoping that at least one of my posts helps someone understand they are not alone in their struggle. That there is hope and freedom found through a relationship with Christ.
What is your biggest fear?
As corny as it sounds…I fear growing old alone.
One thing you admire in yourself?
I am a good listener.
One thing you wish you can change in yourself regarding your behavior?
At one time in my life, I asked God to remove my sexual desire because I felt that was the only way to overcome my addiction to porn. But I understand now that this desire is a major part of who I am. So, no, there is nothing that I would change, for if I did I would not be the man I am today.
What would you love to watch night sky or waves in the ocean?
I would rather watch the night sky. Grab a blanket, lay down and just gaze into the sky. You never know what you might see. The moon in it’s glory has always fascinated me. The stars are simply breath taking and on those clear night with minimal cloud coverage you might catch a glimpse of a falling star or an asteroid.
Which Kind of movie would you prefer to watch horror, romantic, action or comedy?
Horror movies used to be my go to genre, but since rededicating my life to the Lord I just can’t watch them. Now I prefer a good drama or anything the kids want to watch when they are with me. Brandon’s favorite at moment is the animated movie Epic. Erin’s are the Maze Runner series. My favorite at moment is a great faith based movie entitled King’s Faith.
Anything which makes you happy when you are sad and nervous?
When I am at my saddest, when things are weighing heavily on my heart and mind I have two friends that I reach out to. Either one of them can soothe the beast of sadness with a hug or simply by hearing their voice. I love them both dearly π
Your favorite month and color?
My favorite month is June. Every summer for over a decade I made a trek to Arkansas to be a counselor at a Presbyterian Church camp for a week. My favorite color is a toss up between blue and purple at moment.
What would you prefer street food or fine dining?
Street food would be my preference. Fine dining is for those special occasions like a date (if that ever happens), a birthday party or say an anniversary.
So, apparently, I must give ten random facts about myself… Ummm…what could I put here π€
I have scoliosis. And because of that my right leg is a smidgen shorter than my left.
I don’t wear shorts because I’m embarrassed when my psoriasis flares up.
My favorite superhero is either Batman or the Flash depending on my mood.
My favorite soft drink is Mello Yello.
One of my favorite books is Deadfall by Robert Liparulo
My favorite fictional character of all time is Tarzan
I can’t stand shaving.
I despise people who think they are above another.
When I do grow to love someone I love them with everything I am.
I am a very passionate.
