Your Love Defends Me

We sing this song occasionally at Richland Celebrate Recovery. The first time I heard it I was literally brought to my knees. And even now it still moves me deeply.

You know guys, even when I ran from God, I knew He always was right there within voice reach. All I had to do was call on him.

Every movement made, every bad choice and every spiritual battle fought over my soul has brought me to this place.

I am, now, at a place in my life where I am ok with the battle scars and the dents in my armor, for they have helped shape me into the man I am today.

My battles are far from over. But because of those scars and dents, it means I have witnessed the enemies attacks before. I know how he attacks. I’ve seen his moves. And yes the enemies attacks hurts at times, but God is right there to remind me that I am strong, I am redeemed and that His loves, through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, defends me.

Trust me, if his love can defend me it will most definitely defend you.
