Walls Of Unforgiveness

You harden your heart to protect yourself from pain and emotional stress. With each brick laid, in the foundation, of that wall you are building your own cell, your own cage, your own prison. One day..one comes to realize that wall to protect becomes the wall that kills. The walls kill your spirit, kill your joy, and physically alters your health and emotions. Then it’s like man, why has God done this to me? He DID NOT! You did!! He WILL help you fix the problem but you must be honest with God, yourself and more than likely a trustworthy friend.

The healing is what hurts, but if you had done it right the first time around you would not be going through this. The healing should have happened before the first brick was laid. The Bible is VERY clear on this issue.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed…..

Jesus, himself expresses this in how we should pray by the Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. He then goes on to say in verse 14 & 15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Wherever you pray is your altar and prayer is a spiritual act/gift of worship.

Matthew 5:23,24 Therefore, if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remember that thy brother has anything against thee, Leave  your gift at the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

So if you are holding on to anger towards your spouse, child, family member or friend first go and be reconciled, then bring your gift of praise through prayer to the Father. If you have sinned against someone go, ask for forgiveness, be reconciled. Allow the Lord to heal you to where the bricks of the wall start to crumble one by one, sin by sin, day by day, moment by moment, forgiveness by forgiveness, humbleness by humbleness until they are gone and you are not surrounded by a wall of bricks but standing on a foundation of solid rock..JESUS CHRIST
