For we have not an high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
We should not go to the throne of God timid believing that He is too busy or that He is not caring about that habitual sin that we continue to do, or that a sin has popped back into our lives that we felt we had overcome, or even the one thing we continually seek Him for.
We ARE heirs with Christ, our high Priest, that sits at the right hand of the Father.
We should come with confidence knowing that God loves us and that when we ask for forgiveness that they are forgiven (1 John 1:9). Christ himself was tempted in all areas and sinned not in all areas so that we could have forgiveness IN all areas. Therefore we should never feel ashamed to go to Him seeking forgiveness for ANY sin that we have committed! We should never be ashamed to go the Father with any concern we have, for He loves us! He cares for us! He has plans for us that will blow our minds, for they are for our benefit, for us to prosper and serve Him through those plans.
